* Illinois LINCS has formatted their site to the new LINCS redesign.

* The What's Cool page has been updated with a new link to Minnesota's The "Hire Me" Guide This is a wonderful new resource so please check it out!

* The Midwest LINCS website continues to change as we complete the new redesign. About the Midwest LINCS section of the website has been broken down into two parts. Please check out About the New Site Redesign and About Us.

* A new addition to this site is the Midwest LINCS: Site Map. You can find this link in the Quick Links drop-down menu in the upper left and the Site Map part of the upper right of many of the pages. All of the information we offered before the new redesign are still available, they may just be located in a new section. * The Facts & Statistics page has been added. This page has links to various sites for facts and statistics and also links to a page that lists facts and statistics by Midwest LINCS state partners.

* The Grants & Funding page has been updated with new links to many sites with information on writing grants and applying for them.

October 1, 1999

* Today is the grand opening of the newly redesigned LINCS system. The National Institute for Literacy's National LINCS and its four regional LINCS partners and many of its state partners have been redesigned with a common look and feel. This new design will tie together all of the LINCS web sites and make the information more readily available. Explore and see what we have to offer!

August 13, 1999

* The Locally Produced Materials in the Midwest LINCS States has been updated with a new resource from North Dakota. Please check out Introductory Computer Literacy for Adults.

June 21, 1999

* If you haven't seen this yet, please check out Parent Made Developmental Toys: Integrating Parenting, Self-Esteem, Literacy and Fun by Rita Hoppert. This book is a resource of activities for family literacy and can be found linked from the Family Literacy Special Collection's page for Locally Produced Materials. It will be updated regularly with new sections as it makes the transition from paper to website so be sure to check back often.

June 2, 1999

* Family Literacy: Midwest LINCS Special Collection has updated its Current Events/Information with three new conference information additions.

* The Reading Rainbow website has now been added to the Ideas for Parents, Neat Stuff for Kids, and the Ideas for the Classroom pages in the Family Literacy: Midwest LINCS Special Collection.

March 31, 1999

* The Family Literacy: Midwest LINCS Special Collection has been updated with new additions on the Neat Stuff for Kids, Ideas for the Classroom and Ideas for Parents. THese pages have also been redesigned so they can be printed and used as handouts.

* The Adult Numeracy: Midwest LINCS Special Collection has been redesigned to make navigation easier and also has been updated with new links.

* Family Literacy: Midwest LINCS Special Collection has been updated with many new links on the Ideas for Parents page! Also, this site has gone through a little design change on its opening page. * The Adult Numeracy Special Collection has updated its News and Information page with info on the Adults Learning Mathematics Conference - 8-10 July, 1999 in Sheffield, UK this summer.

* The Family Literacy: News and Events page has been updated with information on the 8th Annual National Conference on Family Literacy and the 8th Annual Born to Learn International Conference.

* The Family Literacy: News and Events page has been updated with some information on PSAs and Professional Development Seminar News from the Ohio Family Literacy Statewide Initiative.
