The Right Question Project

Would you like your students to take more ownership of their own learning and become more active citizens?

The Right Question Project (RQP) of Cambridge, MA, has pioneered a participatory educational strategy that has been successfully implemented in adult education classrooms around the country.

The Right Questions Project and LIFT are offering a one-day training in RQP's methods for teaching critical thinking skills and increasing civic and voter participation.

Participating teachers will receive:

• A fun, interactive training
• A step-by-step guide to a workshop for students
• Follow-up lesson ideas and resources
• Templates for student materials
• Free technical assistance
• Access to online materials and discussion with colleagues
• 6 hours of PD credit

Requirements for participation:

• Be available for a 6-hour training on Saturday, September 13, 2008, or a Saturday in March, 2009*
• Implement what you have learned with your students in ABE/ASE/ADP/EDP classes.

* The Right Question Project training is part of a national initiative that is being studied by Professor Donald Green and colleagues at Yale University. The assignment to either the September date or the March date for your training will be made by the researchers.
